I’m Mark. I live in Houston, Texas, where I build and have the odd adventure.

I've loved making things for as long as I can remember. Coupled with a love for computers that began the evening my dad brought home a brand new Macintosh LC550, it was inevitable that I would be building things with computers in either my spare time or as a career.

Now as a software developer with over ten years of experience, I still love the excitement of cracking a tricky problem and seeing something I have created, sometimes from nothing, make someone's life a little easier.

My unconventional path to the tech sector, having previously worked as a skydiving instructor, has given me a unique perspective on problem-solving and adaptability that I bring to every project.

When I am not working, I make plans to travel or have an adventure! In my spare time, I keep up with science and tech, experiment with and build small online businesses.

I'm also interested in personal finance, fintech, investing, reading, writing, design, emerging technologies, and business.

Today I am the founder of Newton.dev, where we're working to lower the barrier to entry to launch the next great software solution.
